Laura recently sealed some more food to our long term storage stash by sealing it into mylar bags. We didn’t have the 5-gallon buckets to place the mylar bags into so I went to a home improvement store today and picked up 10. I’m puzzled why they would sell the buckets and lids separately, but they do so I picked up both.
A friend asked to borrow one of our two trucks tomorrow to pick up some hay for their animals. Hopefully tomorrow won’t be a scorcher of a day since the air conditioning doesn’t work on the truck. I’m also lending them the cattle trailer; it’d probably be cooler to ride in that. Not safer, but cooler.
Our newest dog, Zeus, seems to grow daily, maybe even hourly. At 10-weeks, his paws are already bigger than the 100 lbs black-lab mix we have. He’s going to be a big one, I think.
Late this afternoon I took my oldest son to practice shooting skeet. He doesn’t get to go often but when he does, he likes it a lot. There’s just something fun about trying to knock a clay pigeon in out of the air with a gun.
I’ve got a couple of more chores to do before the day is done then I’m off to read some more Lucifer’s Hammer.
